Galil---67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 13% Syrah---Barkan's Assemblage Series offers a new perspective on the potential of Israel's wine regions with wines integrated from several varietals that exemplify the region's character. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah are individually fermented and barrel aged for 10 months and then blended harmoniously to create REICHAN. The wine exhibits concentrated ripe black fruit with hints of chocolate, coffee and nougat. The wine's rich tannins and crisp tartness reflect the region's cool climate, and is a delight today and promises even more pleasure with bottle age.
