In producing this fine line of wines, our winemasters selected a region of California known to employ the latest scientific advances in winemaking. They sought to create a wine that would share the same commitment to excellence that the family is known for and would have insisted upon, with the same fine taste that people have come to expect from of their wines for over 100 years...this Special Edition Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from grapes harvested at the base of Chalk Hill. Aged for 19 months in French oak barrels, this rich and lush wine displays notes of  blackberry and cassis highlighted by an oak bouquet..To retain its outstanding character, only light filtration occurred and therefore may form some sediment as it ages.
