In producing this fine line of wines, the Herzog family selected a region of California known to employ the latest scientific advances in winemaking. They sought to create a wine that would share the same commitment to excellence that the Baron would insist upon with the same fine taste that people have come to expect from Herzog wines for over 100 years.

Herzog Special Edition Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from grapes harvested at the base of Chalk Hill. Aged for 21 months in French oak barrels, this rich and lush wine displays notes of blackberry and cassis highlighted by an oak bouquet.

To retain its outstanding character, only light filtration occurred and therefore may form some sediment as it ages.
