Yarden Merlot offers up a complex array of characters including ripe berries, hints of fresh herbs, nuances of earth and layers of rich oak, elegant vanilla bean, and just a whisper of orange peel and cocoa. This fairly heavy-bodied wine possesses a satisfying richness of flavor. While already enjoyable, Yarden Merlot will improve with a few years of age and remain in good condition for a decade or so. We love Yarden Merlot with lamb, be it braised in a rich stock along with plenty of cumin and a touch of saffron or chops, hot and smoky. Duck and goose also make good flavor partners.

Odem Nebbiolo

A true rarity, this nebbiolo from Odem Mountain Winery comes from one of only three nebbiolo vineyards in Israel and is the only kosher nebbiolo from Israel currently exported to the United States. grown in the unique high-altitude terroir of the Valley of Tears and aged for 18 months in oak barrels, this wine offers an elegant and authentic expression of the noble variety. the nose is layered with delicate floral aromas of dried roses and violets, intertwined with red cherries, raspberries, and subtle hints of leather and spice. on the palate, it boasts a refined structure with firm yet silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and flavors of tart red fruit, earthy undertones, and a whisper of tobacco. the long, graceful finish leaves a lingering impression of dried herbs and a touch of oak.
